Hard to believe that Fall is already here so now is a great time to catch everyone up on all things Towee. Let's go:
SHERPA UPDATE
First, the Sherpa rollout has been an astounding success and we would like to thank all of our new owners who are already enjoying their new Sherpa or have new builds in the shop. Here are a few off the cuff observations from the first 10 Sherpa builds you may find interesting;
3 new owners purchased generally for saltwater only
3 new owners purchase generally for freshwater only
4 new owners purchased for both salt and freshwater use.
7 powered with prop outboards ( 5- Tohatsu 30 , 2 - Yamaha 40)
2 Powered with jet outboards (Tohatsu 50/35)
Note - We do have a build in process that will ship with both the Tohatsu 30 prop and a Tohatsu 50/35 jet
4 chose the galvanized Sherpa Trailer
6 chose the new all aluminum Sherpa Pro Trailer
3 are returning Towee customers
One of the most asked question has been "what am I giving up by choosing the bigger Sherpa over the Calusa Pro? Frankly, nothing. The draft is almost identical and the approximately 108lbs more weight of the Sherpa hull is more than offset by a massive amount of additional real estate, more storage, more capacity and more power options.
However, if you are dealing with a super small storage space, a very small or tow vehicle, super small water or even a smaller budget - the Calusa Pro may still be the best choice for you. We would be glad to walk you through the differences.
CURRENT LEAD TIMES and SPRING SKIFFS
Current lead times are 14-16 weeks and we expect that to push out as the bulk of "Spring" orders start to come in over the Winter. If you are looking for new skiff for the Spring, NOW is the time to get your project kicked off so that we can ensure that your new skiff is ready and waiting. Keep in mind that we are a small company and a sudden influx of orders can drastically affect lead times.
2026 ROAD SHOW
We are currently in the planning stages for the 2026 Towee Spring Road Show - lets hear where you would like to see us. Drop us a line info@toweeboats.com. One of our big plans for early February was a return to the Fly Fishing Show in Atlanta for '26, however, it has been cancelled by the promoter. Stay tuned for an ATL area replacement and we look forward to being back to the show in '27.
We also have very exciting news to share (soon) on the TV front - one of our favorite fishing shows of all time has gotten the nod for a comeback and Towee has been chosen as the backcountry skiff. Stay tuned for a detailed announcement from Towee and the network as well as a look at the show skiff. We're super excited to share this one.
Oh....and for those of you who have asked......yes, there is a small console option that will be released for the Sherpa over the winter. While the tiller option is still far and away the best option for a small technical skiff, we will be offering a small console for those who may have physical challenges that prevent them from using a tiller or simply prefer a console.
NEW PRICING GUIDE
Our Winter 2025-26 Pricing Guide will be released in the next 4-6 weeks, the curent pricing guide will be in effect until that release so now if a great time to get your new skiff build booked at current pricing.
