Towee Boats pleased to announce that, as promised, the Scout Skiff has been returned to our line up after a hiatus during the run up to the Sherpa launch. We sincerely appreciate the outpouring of calls and emails concerning returning the Scout Skiff to production. We promised to bring it back and today, we are ready to build, as promised, the very best version of the Scout Skiff yet.

Based on our highly successful Calusa hull, the Scout Skiff is our ultra spartan, ultra stripped down skiff that offers the minimalist a simple, lightweight, durable and highly capable skiff without sacrificing quality or performance. Whether your plans include fishing rocky rivers, poling the flats, accessing unpressured public hunting lands by water or ducks in the timber - the Scout Skiff is designed to support the experienced outdoorsman. Grab a couple of rods (or shotguns, decoys, dogs, etc), a gear bag, a cooler and you're off on your next adventure.

A design tip of the hat to our roots, the Scout Skiff is roughly based on our original 2009 Rivermaster SRO prototype with a ton of features and improvements. We start with a 16' hull - the same as used for our Calusa Pro series amd add a simple interior that features 2 wide benches that sit 12" off the floor of the skiff and are large enough to provide an ample casting or shooting platform ( even for you size 13 shoe guys) , the Towee deep rod storage along each side that comes in at just under 10' in length and a dry storage area under the bow cap accessed through a large hatch. And THATS IT. The entire skiff comes in at 240lbs yet has room for three and is stable enough for all three to stand and fish at the same time. A 20hp prop will net speeds in the high 20s yet she is light enough to perform well with as little as 9.8hp. Over the years, our owners have also powered Scout Skiffs with surface drives and two stroke jets.

Several Scouts are currently seeing guide duty in places like Northern Wisconsin, Virginia and Florida. Our owner has quite literally used his from the Keys to Idaho. They have made open water crossing from the Keys, bushwhacked through the Ten Thousand Islands, prowled rivers from Alaska to Montana to Wisconsin and Texas. They've carried hunting dogs, decoys, tree stands, ebikes, gas powered generators and just about anything else you could fit. Deer, turkey, bear, wild hogs, elk, ducks and even gator have taken a ride in the Scout. Thats versatility that just cant be beat.

There have been several versions of the Scout Skiff produced over the past 16 years with a variety of different hull materials For 2026, the Scout Skiff returns with the identical lamination used in our Calusa Pro. And while options for the Scout are limited, it is still compatible with the Calusa SRO rowing frame and Poling Platform. Additional available options for the 2026 Scout include;

  • T2 River Armor for extreme service applications

  • Pro Grip Non Skid Floor Coating

  • Navisafe LED Navigation Lights ( Bright, light and portable - highly recommended)

  • Battery Box laminated in bow storage

  • Full electrical system with shark eye navigation lights

  • Trolling motor installs

The 2026 Scout Skiff paired with the finest small skiff trailer produced - our true drive on Towee Pro Trailer featuring swing tongue, led lighting, Dexter maintenance free hubs and heavy duty steps and fenders starts at $10,900 ready for power.

In a world that is literally flooded with cheap, tippy, throw away small skiffs, the Towee Scout Skiff is a multi generational skiff that offers excellent quality, durability stability, versatility and performance all with a lifetime warranty to the original owner. If the Scout Skiff sounds like what you've been looking for - give us a call at 931-743-4860 and lets discuss where your Towee can take you.
